I had to choose between three hospitals (Northern VA), and we did wind up choosing one that did have a fairly high rate of cesareans but they have the most high-risk pregnancies (in fact, most of the surrounding hospitals transfer anybody there if they are suspected to be high risk). Aaaaand then I wound up having a c-section. <br /><br />It was not planned but in the end I am okay with how everything went because there were dangers that presented themselves that we had not anticipated. My doctor never rushed anything and I had time with my doula and my husband to come to our decision, so ultimately I was glad I was in a place that I could feel comfortable knowing that whatever choice was made I would be well cared for.
